‘Start Their Story’

Creative Strategy & Advertising

The Brief.

Create a long term creative strategy that would help strengthen the school’s ‘brand’ fame, drive awareness and consideration among the target audience, and grow enrolment numbers YOY from nursery age up.

The Insight.

School is the first chapter of a much longer story for children, and everything they do there is about preparing them for life after school. Making that experience safe, special, memorable and valuable are key motivations for parents, staff and in hindsight - alumni.

The Work.

Their Stories Start Here. We told the personal stories of key stakeholders within the school - the pupils, the parents and the teachers. For the pupils, they all started their story at The Academy. And parents, teachers and alumni testified that it truly gave them the ‘very best start in life’.

We managed copy, radio, film, design and music production - including a joyous cover of American Author’s ‘Best Day Of My Life’, refreshed each year and performed by pupils and staff.

Their Stories.

We set up interviews with over 20 pupils, staff members and parents to capture authentic perspectives from across the school.

And we spent 3 days on campus visiting classrooms, labs, theatres and nurseries to capture a real ‘day in the life’ at The Academy.

Display & Social.

Audio.

We created cover tracks of American Author’s hit track ‘Best Day of My Life’. Multiple versions were recorded, performed by the school drama department, talented teachers and a star music pupil.

The radio ads made use of the licensed track along with real interview dialogue from pupils, teachers and parents as they tell their story of The Academy.

Brand Guidelines.

To create better consistency and higher quality digital brand assets, we also completed a visual brand refresh in 2019.

The Client.

“Since we started working with Gary and his team, we’ve not only been delighted with the creative work they have produced for us, but we’ve seen record breaking growth every year in enrolment figures across all age groups.

They are a pleasure to work with and are great at what they do.”
